Usually in summertimes or any season, per say, your local city sometimes give basic music lessons. I, myself and with my epxierence in music, would say go one-on-one with an instructor at your local music shop. You could do it at a college or high school. But you’d benefit better with one-on-one. Happy playing!
Start with the right technique. Use one finger per fret.
Start on the 6th string, place each finger on the first 4 sfrets.
Skip to the 5th string and do the same , all the way to the first.
Then, go 4-3-2-1 on the first string , and work yourself up to the 6th string.
Now, pick each note with an up and down stroke of the pick. This is called alternate picking. Practice slowly and steadily. I guarantee you that, in 2 weeks, you will have good enough speed as a beginner.
